The Campbell Collaboration


The international Campbell Collaboration (C2) produces and disseminates the findings from good quality systematic reviews addressing questions about the effects of interventions used in education, crime and justice and social welfare. The ultimate aim of which is to inform practice and policy decision-making. Campbell is eager to extend its coverage of these issues in low and middle-income countries, and will further this aim through its next annual meeting Better Evidence for a Better World





China Health Economics Institute


China Health Economics Institute, established in 1991, is a national research institution under the leadership of Ministry of Health, China, which is specialized in conducting researches on health economics, health policy and health reform and development. It has taken great endeavor to translate research findings into policy, and to provide evidence for the policy making in the health sector in China.

Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka


IPS is an autonomous institution that aims to promote policy-oriented economic research and to strengthen the capacity for medium-term policy analysis in Sri Lanka. With nearly two decades of substantial research expertise, it has emerged as a regional centre of research excellence and the most influential think tank in Sri Lanka.





GRADE

GRADE is a private research centre based in Peru. Its mission is to conduct applied research to stimulate and enrich the debate, design and implementation of public policies. Its staff are actively engaged in conducting impact evaluations. Impact studies carried out by GRADE staff include an analysis of rural roads, and of youth training.





Innovations for Poverty Action

Innovations for Poverty Action applies rigorous research techniques to develop and test solutions to real-world problems faced by the poor in developing countries. Much of IPA's work focuses on microfinance, including recent work in South Africa.





Amsterdam Institute for International Development

The Amsterdam Institute for International Development (AIID) is a joint initiative of the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA) and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). Both universities have a long history and an outstanding reputation in scientific education and research in a broad range of disciplines. AIID was founded in 2000 by the two universities as a network linking their best experts in international development and to engage in policy debates. Recent work includes a paper on the use of impact evaluation in sector programs, and a new impact evaluation of a health insurance fund in Namibia





The International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam

The International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS) is an international graduate school of policy-oriented critical social science. It brings together students and teachers from the Global South and the North in a European environment. Located in The Hague, ISS does research, teaching and public service in the field of development studies and international cooperation.





National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL), Mexico

CONEVAL is a Mexican institution whose purpose is to coordinate the evaluation of social policies and programs, as well as to measure poverty according to the General Law of Social Development.





NORC is a social research organization with 600 regular staff and annual revenues of around $100 million. NORC has extensive experience in conducting rigorous impact evaluations of development projects, running the gamut from evaluation design through data collection and implementation to analysis and results reporting. NORC currently conducts impact evaluations that use experimental and/or quasi-experimental designs in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Honduras, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Georgia, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Zambia.





Centre for Economic Research, Pakistan (CERP)

CERP is a non-profit research network which aims to link the academic community to promote economic research on Pakistan and to disseminate this work to the public, media and policy-makers. It focuses on the study of the Pakistani economy: its firms, households, institutions and communities. It encourages theoretical and empirical approaches to economic problems, penetrated by constructive and rigorous thinking. Any activity which promises to further such goals lies within the sphere of CERP’s activities. CERP was initiated in 2008 by economists at Harvard’s Kennedy School, the University of Chicago, Pomona College, and the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).





The Center for International Development (CID)

CID is a research center that actively creates, applies and integrates knowledge from across Harvard University to advance understanding of development challenges and solutions. CID’s mission is to improve development practice and resolve the dilemmas of public policy associated with eradicating global poverty.





RAND

RAND is a nonprofit institution founded in 1943 that helps improve policy and decision making through research. RAND focuses on issues such as health, education, population and aging, labor markets, development, poverty, and environment. RAND’s research methods include designing and conducting household surveys around the world that address international policy concerns.





The Youth Employment Network (YEN)

YEN is an interagency programme of the UN, World Bank and ILO set up to find new and durable solutions to the Youth Employment challenge. YEN provides technical and financial assistance to its network members for conducting impact evaluations on programmes whose objectives are to create employment opportunities for youth.




Heifer International

Heifer International's mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Since 1944, Heifer has provided livestock and training to improve the lives of those who struggle daily for food and income. Heifer works in more than 50 countries, including the U.S., to help families become self-reliant.





Women for Women International

Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies.





Centre for Micro Finance, Chennai, India

The Centre for Micro Finance at IFMR is a non-profit, academic institute based out of Chennai, India that conducts rigorous research on the provision of financial services for the poor. CMF has implemented over forty field-based research projects in all corners of India, most in conjunction with microfinance institutions such as Spandana, SKS and Hand-in-Hand.
