The work of 3ie will be overseen by a Board of Commissioners. An international search for Commissioners is currently underway with the assistance of an experienced firm of international recruitment consultants. The Board will comprise of five members, representing different backgrounds, including developing country policy makers and high-profile representatives (preferably from developing countries) who can help promote 3ie. The Board will be supplemented by an annual Members' Conference, open to all members and associate members, though only members have voting rights. The members' conference will discuss issues of importance to 3ie and its work. The Board is not bound by these discussions, but should take them into account in its own deliberations.
