'Impact Evaluation: Can we Learn More? Better?' was a conference that was held on July 17 at the Center for Global Development (CGD) in Washington, DC, and was co-sponsored by 3ie.
The purpose of this conference was to reflect on what has been achieved in the impact evaluation world in recent years. It has now been seven years since CGD’s Evaluation Gap Working Group released ‘When Will We Ever Learn? Improving Lives Through Impact Evaluation,’ and four years since the launch of 3ie. But how have all the initiatives worked in improving the supply and use of high quality evidence from impact evaluations? This was one of the big questions that this conference tried to tackle.
3ie also sought ideas from participants for the planning of its new 3-year strategy at this conference.
Howard White blogs on the need to move beyond dissemination and have strategies that include ongoing communication with policymakers.
William Savedoff from the Center for Global Development shares his thoughts on the joint CGD-3ie conference on impact evaluations.
