To assess the impact of insecticide-treated bed nets or curtains on mortality, malarial illness (life-threatening and mild), malaria parasitaemia, anaemia, and spleen rates.

Quality assessment

The review has clear inclusion criteria and has used appropriate methods for analysis and assessing the risk of bias. However, only one person carried out the greater part of the review. In addition, the study was published in 2004, and an update is needed.
