Promoting partner and couples HIV testing using self-test kits in Kenya

This impact evaluation assessed the effect of secondary distribution of HIV self-test kits to women to provide to their male partner on their testing rates. The study found that providing women with multiple self-tests is more effective at promoting partner testing and couples testing than the convention strategy based on partner invitations to clinic-based testing.
