New | Evidence Dialogues interview series
We are excited to share our latest initiative, the Evidence Dialogues Interview Series, which will feature leaders and influencers in the field of international development who will reflect on their own evidence journeys and the role of evidence in decision-making. In our inaugural interview, Seth Berkley, CEO, GAVI, speaks about how reliable evaluation evidence has been useful for GAVI’s mission to improve vaccine delivery and immunization around the world. He underscores the importance of reaching zero-dose families and building resilient health systems between epidemics to deliver countermeasures during outbreaks.
The Development Evidence Portal
The Development Evidence Portal (DEP) is the world’s largest database of impact evaluations and systematic reviews on interventions to improve lives in low- and middle-income countries. It is updated monthly and contains more than 10,000 impact evaluations, systematic reviews and evidence gap maps. The DEP provides advanced searching capabilities and a rich set of options for filtering studies to help you find the evidence you need.

Mapping evidence to strengthen impact on resilience and food security
3ie is collaborating with partners at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and University of Notre Dame to explore ways to automate evidence screening and accelerate the production of evidence gap maps—to support the strategic and programmatic approaches of USAID's Bureau for Resilience and Food Security. Collaborators across the partner organizations share project insights in this blog.

This blog highlights takeaways from a discussion of the findings and implications of an upcoming 3ie systematic review on the effects of community engagement interventions on the uptake of routine childhood vaccines.
