Evaluation Specialist


Collins leads and contributes to the production of systematic reviews, evidence gap maps and impact evaluation projects across a range of development sectors.

Before joining 3ie, he was a Japanese Government Fellow in Tokyo, worked as a research and evaluation coordinator with the Parent and Child Health Initiative in Malawi and, as a social scientist with the Malawi-Liverpool Wellcome Trust Research Programme. He has led several evaluations and studies including a nationwide impact evaluation of universal coverage campaign of insecticides-treated bed nets on childhood malaria in Malawi. He has authored or contributed to many peer-reviewed papers and systematic reviews on malaria, HIV and AIDS, maternal and child health, adolescent health and community participation.  

Collins is currently completing a PhD in Global Health Epidemiology at the University College London. He holds an MSc in Medical Anthropology from Durham University, UK and a Bachelor’s of Social Science from the University of Malawi.
