Malvya supports 3ie’s Agricultural innovations and the Women’s social and economic inclusion and empowerment in India evidence programmes. Prior to 3ie, she has worked at the Vihara Innovation Network on social and environmental vulnerabilities surrounding maternal and child health in tribal communities of Maharashtra and marginalized populations of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Malvya has also worked with the Sehgal Foundation on local governance, women’s empowerment and adoption practices of smallholder farmers in backward districts of Haryana and Rajasthan along with agrarian communities in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. She has also worked on micro-enterprises, focusing on small-scale farmers in the Salinas valley of California while engaged with California Farmlink.

Malvya has a Masters in International Policy and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International studies at Monterey, US and a Bachelors in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, US.
