Evidence gap maps (EGMs) visually highlight where evidence concentrations and gaps exist in a sector or topic area and, in doing so, consolidate knowledge of these programs to inform future investments in research and programming.

CGIAR GENDER platform, through its Evidence module, organized a panel discussion to identify research for development (R4D) priorities on promoting inclusive and resilient livelihoods in the context of climate change and agri-food systems transformation in the Global South for One CGIAR and its partners. 3ie's Bidisha Barooah, along with several leading experts, discussed the current status and knowledge gaps in promoting decent, resilient & gainful livelihoods for women and youth in rural agri-food systems.

The Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS) Annual Meeting brought together actors from academia, scholarly publishing, and policy to share novel research and discuss efforts to improve the credibility of social science by advancing research transparency, reproducibility, rigor, and ethics. This year’s keynote address on 10 February was given by 2021 Nobel Laureate David Card (UC Berkeley), who discussed the credibility (r)evolution in empirical research.

3ie senior fellow Dr Anjini Kochar presented in a panel, Improving Last-Mile Delivery of Financial Services and Welfare Programs, on 1 November 2021. The panel is part of the annual Financial Inclusion Week organized by the Centre for Financial Inclusion. This year, the focus is on how COVID-19 has exposed the fragility of the global economy, with low-income households and small businesses bearing the brunt of the pandemic's economic impact.
