Tamara Lotfi

Dr. Tamara Lotfi is a guideline methodologist and Senior Evaluation Specialist at the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), where she provides technical leadership on evidence synthesis products across sectors and thematic areas. She works closely with interdisciplinary interest holders to co-develop and test innovative tools for knowledge translation, rigorous and inclusive research methods with a focus on strengthening capacity for evidence synthesis and use in decision-making in low- and middle-income countries. 

She previously co-led global initiatives including the Global Evidence Synthesis Initiative (GESI) at the American University of Beirut and the eCOVID-19 RecMap at McMaster University. Tamara holds an MD from Université Saint Joseph (Lebanon), a PhD in Health Research Methods with a focus on actionable statements in guidelines from McMaster University (Canada), and an MPH from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon).
