Uttama provides research support for ongoing impact evaluations on livelihoods and women's empowerment.
Prior to joining 3ie, she was a Research Associate at Ashoka University, contributing to a randomized controlled trial (RCT) focused on enhancing women's labor force participation. Uttama has also collaborated with nonprofits such as Pratham Education Foundation and Seva Mandir on various projects.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Calcutta and a master's degree in Economics from the University of Hyderabad.
