Ezgi Ecem is a pre-doctoral fellow at PDRI-DevLab in the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Political Science, contributing to research on democratic backsliding, media ownership and bias, and land governance. She previously worked as a research intern at RTI International and a consultant with MSI International. Trained in Applied Economics at Cornell University, her work and interests span comparative political economy, rural development, and gender equality, all of which aim to promote equitable redistribution and advance social justice.
