3ie participated in the gLOCAL Evaluation Week 2021 convened by the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) together with local and global partners. In addition to traditional topics, this year’s theme – Building forward better – allowed organizers to highlight the role monitoring and evaluation can play in post-pandemic recovery.

Despite best efforts, significant gaps persist between global nutrition targets and actual achievements. These gaps reflect the well-recognized implementation challenge in nutrition – the gap between knowledge of what works and the implementation of proven interventions to achieve coverage and impact at scale. Implementation science and research can help identify and address challenges to implementation. This session focused on the role of implementation research for strengthening the planning, delivery, or scale up of nutrition interventions.

The session was held as part of the National Conference on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning: Institutionalizing M&E Practices for Sustainable Impact organized by Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), India’s apex monitoring and evaluation office, attached to the Niti Aayog.

Big data presents new opportunities for innovative research in international development. In this webinar, a panel of experts drew on real-world applications in this area to reflect on key questions for the field.

3ie organised two panels at the Livelihoods India Summit 2020, held online from 28-29 January 2021. The summit brings together diverse stakeholders on a single platform to discuss critical issues that impede and afflict the livelihoods of the poor.
