Background
Recent studies on the impact of Russian information operations on the information environment of the Baltic region highlight the need for a more systematic comparative analysis of populism and anti-establishment movements in the region.
The objective of this research project is to understand how these operations support the rise of various forms of populism and to identify strategies to counter information campaigns. We expect to commission a project to conduct a systematic review of the effects of policies tackling Russian information campaigns and an evaluation of the ban on Russian propaganda channels in the three Baltic countries.
