Sebastian Lemire
Sebastian Lemire is a Senior Research Fellow with over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing theory-based impact evaluations and evidence reviews. He is a recognized expert in theory-driven evaluation approaches and is known for advancing innovative methodologies, particularly mixed-methods analytical strategies and synthesis approaches. Sebastian’s expertise in evidence reviews spans participatory approaches, evidence-based practice guides, and core components analysis.
An award-winning scholar, Sebastian has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and is the co-author of the IEG Methods Guide: Evaluation of International Development Interventions—An Overview of Approaches and Methods. He currently a board member of the American Evaluation Association and serves on the editorial advisory boards of the American Journal of Evaluation and Evaluation. He is a former board member of both the European Evaluation Society and the Danish Evaluation Society.
Sebastian holds an M.Sc. in Social Research Methods from the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Social Research Methodology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
