Improving midday meal delivery and encouraging micronutrient fortification among children in India

This study evaluated the impact of a school feeding programme on meal quality and child health in Odisha. The authors found a significant and positive effect of the take up of fortified meals. However, they found no positive impact on children’s nutritional status, cognitive ability, school attendance or reading and math test scores.
