Building weather-index-based insurance with agricultural loans: An evaluation of impact on insurance uptake and farmers’ wellbeing (2018–2022)

The authors of this report summarize findings of an impact evaluation on whether bundling weather index-based insurance (WII) with agricultural loans influences farmers' insurance uptake, agricultural investment behavior, access to credit, resilience to climate shocks, and overall well-being. 3ie initially received funding for the Agricultural Insurance Evidence Program from UK aid through the Department for International Development (now known as FCDO).
