Effects of information, capacity strengthening and behaviour change interventions on food security and nutrition in sub-Saharan Africa: lessons for research

This brief presents findings of a rapid evidence assessment on the effects of food systems interventions on women’s empowerment. The brief was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit’s (GIZ’s) Knowledge for Nutrition Program.

This brief summarises findings from a rapid field study of select federations in Kerala and Karnataka to understand the current and potential role of these federations to promote high-value livelihood activities for women.
