Research Associate – Livelihood

Dr. Rajani Singh is a “Research Associate – Livelihood” at 3ie. Prior to joining 3ie, she worked as a Consultant – RMLE with the American India Foundation, leading research and M&E for Livelihood projects, Public Health programmes and Education programmes. She has also worked with the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society, Indo-Global Social Service Society, and other NGOs. 

She has experience in conducting mixed-methods research, impact studies, Vulnerability mapping, and Need assessments across Education, Gender, Health & Nutrition, WASH, and livelihood programmes. She has expertise in Econometrics, Advanced analytics, STATA, R-Studio, QGIS, ATLAS.ti, NVivo, Large-scale surveys, Survey tools, M&E frameworks, Theory of Change & Logical Framework. 

She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and an MA in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has presented her papers in various conferences- "Sustainable Transformation in Rural India: Pathways to Viksit Bharat", sponsored by ICSSR”; 2nd International Conference on Advancing Economics (ICAE 2026): Redefining Growth: Integrating Economy, Society, and Sustainability for a Resilient Future, organised by Department of Economics, CHRIS University, in collaboration with V. V. Giri National Labour Institute (an autonomous body of the Ministry of Labour & Employment). She has a publication in International Journal of Business Economics and Management Research (ISO:7021-2008 certified journal).
