Research Assistant

Sunetra provides grant program management and research support to the evaluation office, including knowledge management, evidence synthesis, and stakeholder engagement. She supports the livelihood evidence program. Currently, she is working on the "Rural India Livelihoods Project" and "Swashakt: Empowering Indian Women's Collectives." She has been contributing to 3ie’s work on impact evaluations, monitoring, and process evaluations.

Prior to joining 3ie as a staff member, she worked for 3ie as a consultant for ten months, contributing to two projects: the "Bangladesh Aquaculture Project" and "Swashakt: Empowering Indian Women's Collectives." She has also worked as a fellow at the Drishtee Foundation. There she worked on the "Swavlamban Project" (sustainable communities). During the fellowship, she worked across villages in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, on livelihood generation and the collectivization of women. She has worked closely with the community and developed rural and urban market linkages through a value chain approach in the field of microenterprise development.

Sunetra holds a Bachelors in Geography from the University of Calcutta and a Masters in Natural Resources and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad.
