Tanvi (Tan) is responsible for external and internal communication at 3ie. She manages digital content for 3ie’s website, newsletters, campaigns and blogs, and contributes to the long-term development and maintenance of our online platforms.
Tan leads efforts to amplify 3ie’s initiatives that improve development effectiveness, such as our commitment to evidence initiative (and the Global Evidence Commitment) and work on cost-effective analysis in evaluation. She also helps improve the visibility of 3ie’s Journal of Development Effectiveness.
To improve engagement with evidence and capture learning from our projects and programs, Tan develops and implements customized communication and engagement strategies for key projects and programs focusing on climate change, women’s empowerment, livelihoods, and resilience. These include a variety of activities such as events (stakeholder workshops and presentations), social media, print and multimedia products (briefs, podcasts, and videos).
Prior to this, Tanvi worked as Communication Officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regional delegation in New Delhi, where she oversaw its web platforms, including social media and supported the production of institutional reports and publications. She has also worked as a journalist with the Indian news daily The Times of India and as a UNDP consultant to support the High-Level Committee on the Status of Women in India constituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
Tanvi has an MA in History (Modern) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism, and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Delhi.
