Engy Saleh is the Director of Behavioral Research and Academic Engagements (BRACE) at Busara. She leads a team of researchers, and partners primarily with academics and researchers to run behavioral experiments in order to understand human behavior under poverty conditions. She also leads Busara’s behavioral labs.
Engy is a development economics professional with extensive experience in quantitative methods and running randomized evaluations, as well as public policy. Before joining Busara, Engy worked as a research manager at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) MENA Office in Egypt. She also held key research positions within organizations such as the African Development Bank in Tunisia, The Ministry of International Cooperation in Egypt, and the United Nations for Women. Engy holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Economic and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
